Zombie Rebalancing - Vote

Post by LordOfAles »

Question is:

Should zombies have ability to spawn another zombie after killing a living target?

If yes:

1)It would have 50% to spawn a zombie

2)It would have 75% to spawn a zombie

3)It would have 100% to spawn a zombie

I think this belongsin the main vote I'm sad to say. Otherwise, 100% to spawn works best.

Lol different topic. And I think it's a human only virus. Let them just have skeleton versions only.

Otherwise meaning, I don't think there was a single person who didn't want this, as full as it gets, to happen.

It seems some of the initial design for undead is being revised, in view of some oversights that slipped through the development. This and the poison immunity being part of that.

I agree. I've always liked the idea of an apocalypse, that hides an even greater Undead. it makes for a good campaign and thrilling skirmishes! I LOVE IT!!!

You also forget that zombies are very weak compared to even normal skeletons. :P

Needs more Zombies!

That is what makes them more terrifying.

Correct me if I'm wrong... But, I have heard mention that the Undead are the weakest race. (Lord of Ales)

Perhaps, but we'll need to wait and see. They have yet to come out on Google Play.

. . .

Zombies are supposed to be the bulk of any Undead Army. That's what I use, even though they are slightly less than adequate.

Something to fix that...

100% chance of spawning another zombie after killing another target.

Come on people! This has been this way since Night of the Living Dead!!!

I mean, why not?

Im not so sure undead are very weak these days, but the playstyle is a pain. Gravediggers allow making dragons and golems in large numbers, while mummies and banshees are effective against tough units with low spell resistance. (read: many of the best orc units) death knights are pretty much unbeatable when using them against elves. Humans, however, can use reach halberdiers to wipe out the elite cavalry and healers with exorcism to crush anything else big, and their elite units all have extremely high spell resistance. (if not 100%)

All imperials have 100% spell resist.
But dragon spam and golem spam are really hard to counter for elves and orcs from my experience with Constantin as undead. (I played as elf with orc ally)

Beg to differ Makazuwr, but Orcs have crusher who literally crushes dragons, not to mention you can spam fodder cannons which are also good vs Dragons. Golems are slow, and can be countered easily via arrows, and their own leaving effects.

Elf poison will wreck havoc on dragons, use archers with ents and Sentinels as tanks.

True, each undead unit has a unique purpose for a given situation. Thus is my reason for playing undead while not in the mood to play humans, but I think I can do much more with zombie that creates more zombies. They are now the weakest undead unit by far... Except skeleton spearmen. But this would make them unique in terms of purpose of undead. Twould make them something to be afraid of. Skeletons get upgrades, Phantoms are elite, spellcasters are complementary, zombies are currently obsolete in the undead army. Who, besides me, uses them still? I just do it for flavor! This will set them apart and open up new possibilities for gameplay.
