The difference between basic one and what I guess is a first upgrade is too small.

To be honest in this variant I tought that too.

Any suggestions?

What about If i make the 3 helmets with different colors or add some gold details in the next upgrades?

Please not rush things and let @Lynx Shafir make his own images of paladin and templar.

Personally i want to see only 1 templar and mounted templar variant. Without upgrades.

I'm guessing they would have bonus undead and other dark creature. Also having the ability to heal and exorcism. Perhaps some other ability. The church might need a upgrade like Aos.

The mounted is a bit better than previous.

The foot one. Shoulder and shild should be changed.

Yes I'd like to give them some proper spells and also some if the techs i proposed for AoS (like morale bonus for priests and such)

I agree with you with the fact that they should be the obvious choice against undeads.

Yeah

I've made 4

One with sword and one with a hammer. Both in white and gold versions

Anyway I might give maces to these too but I guess they are more iconic with swords

Not much of a mace but a club.
We need a regular mace men to deal with more heavily armed units.

Do you mean ordinary infantry with 2 handed maces? Or would you prefer one handed plus shield?

Do hammer! Dwarves already have mace! These are holy warriors not priests!

You want maces, why not make an IMPERIAL CLERIC!

Like, standard priest, but more battle-ready!

What's your problem? Maces were used by infantry too in medieval times...

Anyway le me know if you want templars to wield a blunt weapon

Personally, I have seen maces as a priests weapon...

In Advanced D&D, a mace was one of the few weapon that could be wielded, mainly for the fact that they didn't wish to spill blood.

Sorry if I came off as not amiable, just excited, not angry.

I understand your viewpoint, it was just... It's fantasy, why not get a little carried away with it, yes we need blunt weapon carriers for humans.

I see

In D&D/aD&D/d20 system maces are weapons granted to clerics because they are blunt.

Since in the first editions clerics were meant to be mainly healers and undead destroyers they used weapons that didn't spill blood and was good against skeletons (that take less damage from slashing and piercing damage).

That didn't forbid a warrior to use blunt weapons but they didn't simply because blun't weapons were mechanically less efficient than swords or exotic weapons.

For example in D&D a olngsword is a martial weapon and has a 19/20 x2 critical while a mace is a simple weapon and deal a 20 x2 critical

So even tought they are basically both a weapon that deals 1d8 damage the longsword can basically provide double the critical chance of a mace
