Lizardmen's images too big?
Lizardmen's images too big?
I compared the images of lizardmens with units like trolls that are supposed to be gigants like trolls, and they are equal size if not bigger. I think we should make them smaller, maximally little taller then men. Don't get the wrong idea, they are great. Just too big.

Do you realize most of the Elite units are all the same size.

I can't say that lizardmen are elite units right now.

Yeah. You can bearly compere them with Uruk hais, that are of nornal size.

To be honest their size is due to the fact that they should have been much bigger than their kobold counterparts
The game doesn't really have realistic proportions and i wanted them to be detailed enough (a smaller image would have had much less details)
Anyway we might start considering them some sort of elite units cause they basically were amphibious units that are strong as a normal land unit and can move at the same speed in both water and land
Since scalefolks are still in beta we might also rethink their stats

To be honest I'm not much into some upgraded version of the scalefolk units
In the old concept they had to have techs only, like elves, ti keep their tribal look
Techs should cover every aspect of the units, like more armor and hp (stronger scales), more attack, and so on.
I would like to avoid making them a copy of existing races.

Mechanically speaking they were meant to be different
IMHO we should drop the unit upgrades for a lot of themed techs that should empower a lot the units based on race ad special effects

The way I saw scaledfolk upgrades working was they have basic, armored, and the master unit was a separate unit entirely like the highborn, or did I look at it wrong because to me that seems unique and understandable for them.

they will be rebalanced. highborn will become of similar level like uruks, imperials and phantoms.
highborn aura will be buffed but will not be able to stack and will affect only basic kobolds.

I thought about them starting out as tribal then slowly progressed upward, at least for the Kobold, for some reason I thought of them as Romans.

I was thinking lizardmen be the elites because mobiles are supposed to be like goblins to the scaledfolk when you guys were first talking about the race and Lizardmen were supposed to be their stronger forces like orcs and uruks for orcs. The highborn are still weaker the lizardman, the lizardman are definitely the higher tier, but they are missing units.

I don't know, they are simply just Kobold of noble blood, which I guess means they are more in tune with the dragon side part.

To be honest i've never been much into highborn kobolds... it is like making highborn goblins or fairies...
Anyway I think that lizards will fit this role better and now that I'm back I can make more units to fill more roles
