Live Multiplayer!

Since i usually resign from muiltiplayer games because of lack of time, would it be nice to have real time multiplayer?
Changes:

1. You dont make a game, then log off, then again log on to see some players joined, instead: you make a game, wait for players while in that room, and start when all players are in, all that while not logging off, because this would allow better circulation of games, so many people would fastly join. If you leave your game while waiting for other players, yourmroom automaticly gets deleted from server.

2. When you finish your turn, you shouldnt be thrown back at the main menu, instead you would wait for next player to play his turns, you would wait IN GAME!

3. Server should refresh every minute, not only when you press the button, because obvious reasons

So implementing all this content would revolutionary change the multiplayer of AoS FOREVER!!! :o

Also this would decrease tournament time from lets say 1 year to 2 or 3 days. Also there would be VERY VERY PRETTY MUCH LESS AFK players.

I will keep getting boring until this is implemented, yaaaaah! :x

You'd lose a lot of players that way. Myself included. I'd consider myself very active, but it is pretty much only in 5 minute intervals, many times in a day. I don't often get 2 hours to devote to one play session. Besides, I actually like having time between turns to fully consider my options.

Maybe there could simply be 2 multiplayer modes? The quick one and current one

Games are too long to sit down on one for longer time,adding it is waste of time thought.

this was already an idea that was discussed, but I forget what Daniel's response to it was. It would be a massive project though...

It will be like real-time chest, only problem would be the player time zone.

Maybe idk how many ppl would really use it though. Most players can’t sit and play fir 2-3+ hours imo

lol why would it be 2 - 3 hrs?

On 20x20 maps that would be half an hour

(i play hotseat a lot with friends so my calculations r mostly correct)

Personally I think 30x30 is the sweet spot, but 20x20 are great for tourney’s and such. I find strategy comes more into play the smaller the map is. Once maps get too large it becomes a spamfest unless you have a pop linit set (thank God they were implemented lol)

Or half the map does nothing near the end... wagons can only go so fast
