Map editor - IMPLEMENTED
The map editor is completely in a mess. It crashes every now and then without any reason.it has become very difficult to make maps in it now
BEWARE!!!!The long lost empire of phoenicia is rising- The world is but just near the golden age, wherein men played and frolicked, without any worries at all
Re: Map editor
Ive experienced the same problem. Ive also had trouble using maps ive made in the editor. I emailed Daniel a few days ago, but I have got no reply yet (he must be busy)
"I don't care who I have to step on on my way down."
Re: Map editor
Do you have the newest version? (the editor has been working fine for me)
Daniel recently tried to fix the memory problem - are the crashes caused by memory or something else?

ok, ejm problem is different, not memory problem.

Ok, I said it was the same before anybody said it was a memory problemDaniel (the dev) wrote:ok, ejm problem is different, not memory problem.
(Although I have had other crashes when editing a map for to long, I just don't report then as I dont want to waste your time.

Re: Map editor
ok, i have a promising attempt to eliminate memory problems in editor:
the background: in gameplay not all textures loaded only the used ones.
but in editor when the tile/unit lists are popped up all terrain is loaded and all units - so all assets are in memory.
now i made that when you press unit selector or terrain tile selector it will flush out the unused textures from memory.
so i think it is promising, it is up on server in 3 minutes for AOS and in 10 minutes for AOF.
thanks.
