New MAP: The new storyline Age of Nyadhos got many new maps! Thanks to the Stylin strategists!
Change: Fortress and Great Castle has fire arrows (like fire archer), and extra bonuses are removed against catapult/wagon and so on.
Change: Catapults have 200% bonus on great castle

I am working on the on-device terrain editor.
and as a "side effect" i made the production list to be able to change to gridview (only images) and back to listview again.
please try it and give feedback.

Pretty cool!
This is extremely useful for us veterans who know what we want to build. Maybe the icon for tile/list can change when in "tile" mode (like Windows Explorer on Windows operating system).
The only problem I had was that my phone screen is small, so the "help" button looks messed up (maybe a formatting size change instead of text wrapping in this case) *attached screenshot*.
On a side note: In the map editor, I can no longer select any other type of units than the melee or "Swordman class" (no archers, ships, etc.).
But the terrain editor will be super sweet!

i am here now with the editor:
- you can put terrain tiles onto the existing tmx layer, and the new tiles will override the tmx tiles
- in FOG maps the new tiles are visible - so that needs more work
- all existing tiles are loaded in the editor, i will kill a few that i dont want to be used (like the big campfire - that is on the units section)
- you can play with editing you can save/load your work and also can send me - however do not design anything yet! - because i am not finished yet.
- so you can only test how it works and how units behave on such tiles.
ps: all tiles can be animated from now! (so an animated fire on a terrain will not be a problem! ... in theory )

ok i made up my mind about getting rid of the terrains (for performance reasons, 1 sprite instead of 2 will be faster)

i removed the auto-scroll locking (it was annoying to me) so changed this line to this:Daniel (the dev) wrote: - by default when you click to put a unit the scroll gets locked, so you can not scroll but put down many units by dragging your finger

now i really kill the complete engine to feed it with the mapeditor stuffs - so we will need extremely hard testing on every original function that is connnected to game creating/starting/continuing/joining and so on...
(the code starts to become a nightmare ... would need a rewrite...)

also modified images for water bottom coast (so ships will not seen as to be towed out to shore) - available only on mapeditor, existing maps are not afected (yet)

the rocks and flowers are gone to the decorations layer - so all previous tiles are removed from mapeditor.
so if u have such map you need to delete it - it will crash.

Just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing massive frame rate drops in the on device map maker and in any games produced from the editor? Just wanted to make sure i wasn't doing something wrong.

frame rate: yes, especially in great maps it is noticable. i will try making it faster but i dont know curretnly how (those many sprites eat up the resources)
or did you mentined "out game"? (i mean listing the draft maps? - that is also slow..)

autotiling: on map border nicer tiling.
game listings: from now we have little images of the map in lists as on other maps.
draft list: got speeded up (you will notice "null" named maps in draftlist, dont worry edit them and quit and the name will be refreshed)
