Has burning been upscaled properly? ANSWERED

Post by Huttensohn »

Has burning been upscaled proportionally? To a orc stone pile with hundreds of health int only does 12 damage. Or is this intentional, that it doesn't has a bonus against fortifications. Unfortunately I have forgotten the exact damage it did before.

Before it had no bonus to fortifications neither thus it is upscaled properly.

i see these bonuses:
damage: -12 hp
bonus:
{"modifier":1,"unitList":{"categories":["U_BUILDINGS", "U_SIEGE_MACHINE"]}},
{"modifier":-0.5,"unitList":{"categories":["U_UNDEADS"]}},
{"modifier":2,"unitList":{"categories":["U_TROLLS"]}},
{"modifier":30,"unitList":{"categories":["U_MEGA_BUILDINGS"]}}

so it should currently deal 24 hp on all non-mega-buildings (12hp + 100%) - maybe too high arnors there? or it should not be rediced by armor? maybe.

Actually... It should deal 24 damage to all non-mega building structures when i am looking onto those bonuses.
Also it must not be affected by armor.

I've just checked the old file. It was astraight -4 plus bonuses so it should become a -12 plus bonuses (24 damage on non-mega buildings)

Btw I think that with the upscale of fortification hps we should later make it deal more damage on them.

it is currently - 12 as intended. I also agree that later, it should deal more damage.

When we will work on buildings, we will also update all anti-building bonuses, including burning.

Yes. we will probably have just 2 categories: buildings (for every building) and fortified (for fortifications and megas)

I'd say 3:
Buildings (for non-factories and non-fortified buildings)
Factories
Fortifications

I want to make bonus against buildings lowest one (graves and blood fountains of undeads, wolf dens of elves, watch tower of humans will be in this category).

I think I forgot to translate the text
I said that the observation tower is very fragile, and do you need any bonuses against it?

It will be considered as "building" type later and will have even less bonuses than fortification but at least some there will be (15-30%).

I must note that this is a balance problem, since trolls, vampires, rams are now indestructible and can walk with at least 15 effects in a row as if nothing had happened.

Troll regeneration later will be nerfed a bit at base and current level will be achievable via techs 2 levels).

Also burning damage must not be affected by any armor types.

I think that we can upscale fire by x4 instead x3 as it is needed to kill these tanky units.

Damage in general have been upscaled by x3 instead of x4 like health.
