Ghost Kraken

The ghost krakens are powerful familiars summoned by pirates to protect their loot and their islands. These creatures power is a force to be reckoned with and are responsible for the destruction of countless sea vessels.

Actions:2
Abilities:
Bezerker:Passive: gets +1 attack for each kill.
Most likely the stats will change.

Perfect actually, it will compensate for the lack of water units that undead currently have but back to topic

Wouldn't this be the strongest water unit? And by the current stats little too op in water.
Drop hp by 20
Reduce atk by 5
Drop cost to 6 or 7
Don't know if the armor and armor.P ok or not?

Well I came up with these stats because of orcs not having any ranged sea units. So I thought to compensate if orcs don't get ranged sea then they can get a tank sea unit. If moved to undead then I could lower state and change cost to 6 since their is no need for undead to have 2, 8 turn naval units that take up different rolls but cost to much to bother with one of the other.

Sounds right to me and those merlocks alone compensate what Orcs lack in water especially when upgraded( actually really annoying ) but yea undead could use this idea

After seeing Sea Serpent rebalanced I can recommend stats for a buildable Kraken.

Hmm actually maybe moving to undead wouldn't be a bad idea considering the lack in naval unit ideas...

I vote undead, beasts can have megalodon as their big sea unit since their navy consists of shark people. Btw stats updated.

i vote for neutrals only. it doesn't fit undeads because it is living unit and it doesn't fit beastclans because it is too stupid to cooperate with anyone. instead i want to see kraken as Great dragon-like boss creature for campains.

Well I mean theirs already suggested units that can go with the undead that are living.
I believe it's the cult pack. And we can just say the kraken is a dead myth brought back to life from the undead

the KRAKEN is a foul creature born from the dark magic of port town necromancer to strike fear into the hearts of many sailors. They take on the appearance of a giant octopus and are responsible for the sinking of countless sea vessels, and are sometimes used by pirates in order to guard their treasures when they are gone.

I know, but some sources do put them in with undead and ghost pirates. I've even heard them being summoned by necromancers as a way to see to sink enemy ships. I guess it's a matter of perspective.

No i agree with you, most the time the kraken is lump with undead or just a plain boss you gotta beat. But as far as kraken being with another fraction besides undead, I've never heard of it.
This could however be lump with mystical beings race but im sure me you and others can easily come up with a different water units for that fraction when the time comes

What do you mean? The only 3 factions I see this going into are Orcs, Undead, and Elves. If it goes to orcs then they'll have a good costly sea unit that doesn't get killed as easy from a range. For undead it would basically work as their destroyer only less costly then their pirate ship. Elves just don't need another melee sea unit since they have two. As for beastclans I still only see them using shark folk and a Megaladon as their sea units.

Ohhh, wait you were talking about orcs weren't you? Well battle for middle earth has the kraken as an ability that they can use to spawn one anywhere on the battlefield but we won't be using this as a ability.

Before making Krakens we need 2 important thing implemented.
1)change json that see creatures don't comport as ships - different bonus and don't burn like ship.-it's absurd
2)submarin way - Deep water creatures (like Sea serpent) needs this


And not for Orcs (I'm against that orcs get both ground and sea monster.)
They have merlocks - whose bonuses whit upgrades domain the Sea (and cheap)and
All Ork giant walk sea too)

I don't think that sea serpent must have "submarine" way of moving. It is living and breathes normal air.
Neither this kraken needs this. Especially if as a map boss.

But dwarven submarine definately need this.

You do realize that when the Merfolk upgrades get added they become just as good as Merlocks right? Plus as I said before if orcs aren't getting ranged naval units then they can get powerful melee ones. On the other hand for undead side they could work as a destroyer unit since undead will lack that even with skelloton pirates at max upgrades.
