Corpse Flinger — IMPLEMENTED

Post by Pyro »

A crude catapult that relies on nearby corpses and bones for ammunition. With a crash, bones scatter everywhere, causing fear and minimal damage to multiple enemies.

This unit has two upgrades, flaming bones/skulls, which causes fire damage and more severe fear or mabey something called terror. The second upgrade is called Disease Ridden, which causes poisen or perhaps something deadlier, keep in mind all these additional effects, affect multiple targets.

Cost 6
hp 30
Attack 7
Range 7
Armor 0/5
Speed 2
Sight 10
Action turn 1/1
Spell resistence -
And of course the posibity of a flaming and poisen attack if the certain techs are reaserched.

Also, the actual catapult attack, i think :|, would have to be an ability because of fear, which woul need the stats to be modified a bit.

You know you can always use grave digger and use those skeletons with low hp for some attacks

This might make it similar.

Cost:30?
Too high!
Use cost: 6 instead.

Maybe make it have a regular stone shot, but the skeletal shots ignore armor and are given AoE!

I also want to stick to this only using skeleton as ammo just to stay true to the name corpse flinger.

No no no no no, nein nein. No flaming or poison. That would be extremely difficult to deal with as everyone would be using it all the time when they play as the undead.

I only accept it if the range is tone down, no poison or flaming. or it's only could be built by skeleton workers and it is stationary.

It is very similar to the old proposal of the orc cannon. Anyway an undead catapult might be nice

I think flames are acceptable, or you could make them catapults loaded with bones as sharpnel.

Poison might be too much of an advantage.

I accept the bone shrapnel, able to pierce melee units but not flying or riding enemies.

Combining flaming attacks and poison does seem like overkill so maybe making it so one cant exist with the other per game would be cool, or just getting rid of the poison tech altogether because i believe the skeletal dragon already has an AoE poison ability and that the skull thrower isnt much of a sufficient siege weapon in my opinion.

I think a stone based attack with bone shrapenels is cool so it would have a higher attack but would it still require skeletons or corpses as ammo in order to maintain flavor.

No the undead faction already has the spirit tower, which was already a really good improvement, so I think a mobile flesh killing unit would be better than a stationary tower
