Hypnotic specter mtg DISCUSSING

Inspired by mtg unit.
It is a flying unit that increases the production turn of an attacked tc (e.g. If you need 4 turns to end the unit production the turn is raised to 5).

Another possible effect might be a simple curse on attack (so it is just a -1 action on the target next turn).

In case you decide him to be a war unit:

Cost:6
Hp:8
Speed:4
Sight:5
Builders:Crypt
Power:20
Armor:10/10
Spell resistance:50%
Ability:When this unit kills an enemy,the killed enemy turns into a shade

In case you decide him to be a sabotage unit:
Cost:3
Hp:4
Speed:5
Sight:6
Builders:Crypt
Power:0
Armor:10/10
Spell resistance:10%
Ability:As Alexander82 said,+ invisible

Maybe a combination of the two.
Cost 6 version, but drop attack down to 10 and give it invisible, plus lower cost to 5. It's not an assassin, but it would be great for taking out enemies at low health, just to make shades with.

what about a similar ability: if you kill a unit, a next unit will die next to that.

I think it is a bit too strong. You kill a worker against an imperial knight and you kill the knight too xD

I liked the idea of stopping production for a turn. It is something that might translate the "discard a card" mechanic

stopping production where? in an aura range maybe?

might be... but how... we have an effect based on killng like on zurgo, but we can... idk if we can only ececute a stat modifier effect or a complete spell effect (eg. an production stopper aura that has vanishing...)

No i tought a status ailment on attack:

e.g. if you attack a factory or a tc it will stop production for one turn (it is not cumulative so you can attack ten time but you stop it only until the next turn).

it is a little harder since you can not attack a tc only insiders.

To be honest not much. It might be too strong if put in the middle of a building. I liked the discard on attack so i tought more to something that happens when hitting. Maybe when hitting a enemy inside of a building gives it a aura at range 0 that stops production until next turn.

i ment it has no aura by deafult, if he kills a unit the aura will activate for few turns (eg. 3)

What about:

1) attack a tc or a factory with a unit inside
2) if the hypnotic specter kills a unit inside that tc (to cover the "successfully deals damage" part)
3)the unit leave an effect on that tile that stop production until the next turn

Is it possible?

What about another thing then? When an hypnotic specter kills a unit in a tc/factory it leaves a corpse that takes up a space that has vanishing 3.
The maximum amount of corpses it can drop is number of factory /tc slots minus 1

interesting idea but little inrealistic (if we can say this world here) :)

ok, we might do this, but will not be easy
- if damages a building or a unit in tc than the building or tc current production is increased by 1
- also 10/10 arnmor is too much, lets start from 3/3

This wouldn't work very well for 2 reasons :

1) +1 production is a bit too strong compared to stop production (it can add like 4 turns in one single turn) especially for techs that you can produce only in a building at time.

2) That might exceed the starting cost for a unit making more useful restarting production again.

Stats were atill being discussed but we stopped cause of the effect being difficult to implement.

+1 is identical to stop production (it will lose only 1 turn of production)

Yes I can see the difference.

When you add production points then the player will switch units and start producing the same unit again without the added turns if he is clever.

Cease production just means no production point advancement the next turn.
