Group formations

Gives pikemen, swordsmen, shielder a carrying spot where only one of the above units can enter.
The carryer unt gains half of the stats of the garrisoned unit including boni (the movement speed is the speed of the slower unit). They fight and die together and if you move the garrisoned unit out both units take 50%dmg.
In case of pike + shielder
Hp 11+9
Dmg 4+3
Armor 0/0+1/3
Speed 2
Sight 4

Maybe the damage of the carryer should be -50%too.

I like the idea,but how is a pikeman/swordsman/shielder going to carry them?
Also,if you could elaborate it or give a more simpler structure then it would be easier to review it.

Carrying is only ingame how i think it could be coded.
I must admit i cant put my thougts into words.

The idea is to combine 2 units/unit types but simply stacking the stats would be op so the second unit only adds half of its stats.

The movement is oriented on the slower unit, else the pikes would run away from the slower shielders.

When being split both units tke damage depending on the precentage of hp of the formation (if the formation took 50%damage both units take 50% damage of their individual max hp (is better than taking a fixed amount)) to prevent it being used simular to a wagon.

I forgot to mention when split they take at least 25% damage

Its perhaps clear and also its quite good,I see it will be useful to group shielders with other units,and probably these would work in a good balance...

Currently group mechanism only works in towns (put battering ram at first and h.cats/cannons behind and they can fight without worries

Im unsure about the cost but i think it should be reserchable in barraks and/or roman garrision
Maybe it conumes the action of the unit

The current ones don't consume that
I would prefer the building to be Advancements center(its supposed to be tech building but it has very less techs)

For the tech maybe sword and spear crossed in front of a big sheild
The formation could be an effect icon above the carryer that shows the ither unit in formation.
Be creative, draw what you want.

Its not like that. It would combine 2 units and not have one take damage while the other can safely attack
