quinqueremes (five rows) upgrade.

Post by Belfry777 »

Five rows of guys! Rome made this ship when a Carthage quinqueremes ran aground. They copped it and made it bigger and heavier like 1 ton. The stats should make it a very tough and powerful but take 2 off the speed for this unit. I really look forward to use this unit.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

I think we don't need upgrade of quadrirems that substracts their speed. Maybe as a different and more costly unit.

That's what I thought but the name must be different and I don't have a name.

Maybe a tech that unlocks the build after the quadrireme. (So you can build a quadrireme or the 5 row)
Thanks!

Actually this ship did not have "five rows" in fact many people think it just had three rows, but had two men-per-oar for the first two decks and one man-per-oar for the lowest deck. Also quinqueremes were just used to impress, not to do battle.
