Greek Fire Ships.
A special chain to block bay from passing for any ships (can be raised and lowered).

It's named boom.
I have in the todo list.
I think it should be just passable by allies (easiest to implement)

I was thinking about visibility.
From what I remember there is a way to make something stealthy and not destroyed on step.
Boom was visible only on very close distance (and because of boom towers), as it was slightly under the water level.
