Depends on their bonuses/where they are built/if they get cavalry upgrades.

Assuming they have basic cav bonus, built in stable, and get cavalry bonus... Yes, they need to be at least 5-6 turn cost with those stats.

Pierce armor definitely. Possibly a little bit on the HP as well, depending on how cheap you are thinking.

That seems fine. However, the stats do not seem much different from a knight/hussar.

I can't think of anything... Can you? The only thing I can think if it attacks twice or has a huge bonus against infantry.

The idea of making it an advanced light cavalry would be nice. Speed 6 and stats in between knight and light cavalry

On second though i remember we have hussars that are fast. Try making a comparison with these.

The Comparison is similar but the equites in general are somewhat more powerful.

Attack 4
Range 1
Armor 1/2
Speed 6
Sight 7
C R 30%

+50% v ranged, meele foot
+200% v cav
+350% v elephants

Lancer stats
Cost 4
Hp 20
Attack 5
Range 1
Armor 2/2
Speed 5
Sight 6

+50% v archer, foot meele, siege
+400% v mounted
+700% v elephants

So basically light cavalry/lancer hybrid with a little resistance to signify national unit.
I think it is balanced.
