I thought a unit of this nature would really help the game.

I mainly thought this for campaigns rather than multiplayer

I dont really know but heres my estimate

Cost:3 turns
attack power:6
movement:3
Armor:0
sight:4
resistance for arrows
Bonus v/cab
more damage to regular infantry as different from the regular spearman.

So are you planning to make a map?

Not just me, I mean if this unit is not accepted for multiplayer (which is possible), at least we shold have it for map making.

Standard soldier for most medieval armies, armed with a shield and a spear to protect himself from cavalry and arrows.

Sounds unique, it protected from Cavalry and arrows.

Yeah but still can fight off some basic infantry
