Using axe to hack enemies and crush buildings
it costs 2 turns to create it
only can be created in barrack
HP 25,attack 15, speed 3, no armor (can be affected by blacksmith upgrade tech of course)
Have bonuses againts infantry 75% and building 125%

Okay... you can change some stats or its costs to avoid the overpower symptoms
how if we change the attack to 6 or 7?

Sounds similar to viking berserker or the zwiehander with power range, I think axe can have high bonus on wagons and other wooden units though

Actually, berserker doesn't have power range...

Just berserk, and a form of self healing.

Dont compare national units with normal units .
Normals most be more! This axe man is nice idea we can put this in new update beside new H. battle and units (new persian and greek units)
this axe man havs an ability:
Ability name:HIT FROM ABOVE
this ability helps axe man to hit shield and armored units nicely .. units like defender . Roman legion. Spartan. And others also i like GOD OF KINGS idea about wooden things . Hit from above ability 'sā€Œ symbol is a war axe

Axes were often cheaper than swords and considerably more available.
The Scandinavian bearded" axes or "skeggox" (so named for their trailing lower blade edge which increased cleaving power and could be used to catch the edge of an opponent's shield and pull it down, leaving the shield-bearer vulnerable to a follow-up blow). Viking axes were wielded with one hand or two, depending on the length of the plain wooden haft.

Aren't hp a little low for melee units?

Maybe

1 hander (24)hp
2 hander (20)hp

Otherwise, they'll just use maceman...

Even with these HP, maceman still deals 30 dmg and kills both, how about they also have 4 speed considering they r lightly armored, then lynx's HP is acceptable

We all know mace man is the ultimate weapon :)

I'm not against rising hp a bit consider they are exclusive units

For speed boost I'm not sure (May with a group tech)
Therefore weak to arrows anyway

If snow and hill(if impleamented ) terrain
Gets movement penalty this two may be immune. :?

Standard Viking strategy against archer is charge with a shield and throw axe at close range like a skirmisher, all their weapons and armors r designed as light as possible to allow mad rush, wearing leather vests

That looks really awesome!!!!!! Lynx you nailed it, bit maybe perhaps make the shield more round and bigger? You know vikings had very beautiful round shields, perhaps you can try

They were beautiful but not that big in proportion to human size, lynx's looks fine.

They r mainly to cover head and above waist area from incoming volleys of arrows, not that effective against crossbow bolts or when flanked

I wouldn't take a well done drawing as reality. Maybe search for a museum model instead, I expect those to be more historically accurate.

This illustration was part of a larger series of historically accurate illustrations depicting the process of the anglo saxon invasion and the creation of england even though the argument is totally valid.

Heres a surviving example of a "viking" shield even though its no in great shape but there are more reproductions on the same website

In this other website if you scroll enough you will notice images depicting men carriying said shield in different manners, here you can see its size and proportions more closely related to the human body.
