I see what your saying... but I see one issue
What if I use a troop, than give him to my ally. My ally uses him then gives him back to me... Kinda cheap, because now that unit got an extra turn. So the only way to do this is have an option where it takes up the units ENTIRE TURN to donate. If you move or attack or anything else with him, you cannot donate.

You could also make it where the donated troop has to sit out a turn.
Anything is feasible with enough money and power.
