Post by Midonik »

I havent got what to read. :(
I can recommend you: Fableheven (5/5),Beyonders (4,9/5) Five Kingdoms (5/5) and Candy shops war (4,6/5) of Brandon Mull.
And Spirit animals (5/5). Frist party is by Mull too,but next are by other writers.
I not sure about oryginał names of books by other autors.
If going about pc strategy games I got on my "to play list" Xcom and mayby Shadowrun. What else you can recomended for me?

Hi!

Pc strategy games:
The total war series (medieval 2 total war was the best)
Star wars empire at war
Battle brothers

Not strategy but it requires strategic skill: mount and blade warband.

And of course you should try out mods
This is Hungary and winter is coming.

I watched some gameplays from diffrent total wars, and I interesed about this series. You say medieval 2 is best. But I havent got many expirance with rts games, and this I got arent good. I ever think rts are too chaotic. Do you think total war medieval 2 is best to frist try with this kind of games?
Mount and Blade... I heared about it,but I dont know what it is. I going to watch some gameplays from it.

As for games, mount and blade: warband is a game that you probably haven't already heard about a million times. It isn't necessarily a strategy game, but I play it in a very strategic way, and find my army far more effective when I actually give commands than when I charge head first into battle.

There are also some amazing mods for the game as well. And fun fact: Some of the Age of Strategy campaigns have been inspired partly by the game as well. :)

If you want to read I definitely recommrnd the night angel trilogy. It is a dark fantasy with romance (altough there isn't much of it) and a large amount of death, including main characters.
This is Hungary and winter is coming.

Maybe "Ender's Game" (Polish Gra Endera)?
This book is quite awesome, movie version weak, only special effects look nice.

Another game: Mass Effect Trilogy

Some scenes from movie version are more like parody of the book than an adaptation. And it was too short, so not deep enough.
Bollywood movies can be over 3 hours long, so why sci-fi can't be 2.5? xD
