New unit status:block melee,p
Block pierce,dodge melee,projectile and counters(like AOF).
For exempleficate things:
Max of block melee:100%
Max of block projectile:100%
Max of block counters:100%
Max of dodge counters:100%
Max of dodge projectile:100%
Max of dodge melee:100%
And
Max of ignore block projectile:100%
Max of ignore block melee:100%
In the future i think to update this...well is all for now.
Obs:catapult,galeass,balista and others siege machines and sea units ignores dodges and block status of units...

About just use the one in Aof so that it'lll be easier to code but i personaly wouldn't like this cause it'll change the game dramatically

I'm fully against it.
Right now I'm trying to lower randomness as much as I can in the assets. I fully support loyalty meter idea (coding required).
It's Age of Strategy - randomness is something below strategy. Strategist are considering bigger picture, where random factors are just taken into consideration as some other stable representation (dodges and blocks as bonus hp/ armor in our case) - it's about average effect.

There is no unit idea, that would make it logical.
So add it how?
Engine is the same for all Ao versions (AoS, AoF, AoW), so pretty much whatever is done for other games could be in AoS.
Dodges can be done in AoS.
The question is - does it fit "strategy" setting.
In my opinion - no.
