Ally purposely getting in your way

Post by RiverRaider 1097 »

Why is the game programmed so that AI Ally goes out of his way to get in a key position you need on your side of the board , I danced with a trebuchet against an AI worker side to side so I could go around to attack but he wouldn't let me by another time I had workers in a tc producing a catapult when it was done I moved it out leaving space by tc open just to have my AI Ally get in the only spot to produce the catapult then they will get in front of lines with short range units which in turn takes distance off of your long range units very frustrating can any relate to my dilemma ?

I know what you mean. I remember this happening alot when I used to play with AI allies. (Especially getting in the way of constructions and slow moving siege units) I doubt it is done on purpose though, probably just the AI being clumsy (unless Daniel programmed it like that on purpose for a joke  ) just kidding ;)
But if possible, it should really be changed, as it is pretty annoying.

Lol it is so funny and annoying when that happens. :) Believe it or not, my friends and I do it to each other on purpose when playing an AI. (build walls or purposefully spam each other with scout dogs).

Yes, but I think it is just the AI being stupid. :)
Thanks!

But to the point of between win or lose is a serious problem I thought they had random movement but when they move side to side with ya so you can't attack they should be considered conspirators or enemy infiltrators and shot in time of war, and gem loss lol)

I usually try to wall the ai off, away from my base for this very reason.
