Scorched Earth
Scorched Earth
Officer has an ability called scorched earth. This ability will disable a tc for 2 turns. This is useful if your tcs almost fall to enemy's control.

Re: Scorched Earth
Would be better if the tc was destroyed
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Re: Scorched Earth
Maybe not destroyed but completely disabled and needed to research for 3-5 turns to restore its training abilities.
The only thing that you can research/train is restore in tc after this ability used.

Re: Scorched Earth
I don't think that this name for this effect is right, I think this should be a game mechanic instead of a tech, like if the village is hit to often the village stops producing units and techs for so many turns. Although I do think there could be a tech to speed the wait of a knocked out village.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Re: Scorched Earth
The Russians did use this scorched earth tactics against Napoleon
So it should b an ability of tc or something that makes it unable to produce anything for a few turns, I would like to see this ability in aos, it could also b that while a tc is under the effect of scorched earth, the chance of stealing an opponent's tech will b 0%, does a useful strategy to prevent stealing any tech, but in that case the effect should last longer like 3 or 5 turns, to backfire if opponent doesn't capture it

They used it against the germans as well.

Re: Scorched Earth
I got a catchy name for aos variant...
'Pillage Village'
A good name - Raze & Retreat
Description: razes your town and makes it unable to produce anything for a few turns, while your soldiers retreat with all research documents and food leaving a barren wasteland for your enemies, use this tactic if the enemy is too close to your town and you are about to lose it, but beware that it will take some time to repair it again in case you successfully defend after using this tactic

You should sent it to the idea for new games topic.

Re: Scorched Earth
Used so that enemies may not be able to loot military equipment stored there.
I suggest it as a research / TC? It would be gone after the effect triggered once.
So in case enemies took the TC, they won't be able to use it for a few turns.
(Do take note that you won't be able to use it too if you take it back before the effect expired)
