Tasks before publishing AOW

Here is the list of tasks we should do before publishing:

General:
- unit balancing (for this the completely filled up XLS about real unit properties to be comparable, and beside those the current values)
- the tech tree defined (techs and their reuirement relation)
- unit "technology level" settnig - tanks are ready - but planes a ships are still needed.

Graphics:
- - splash screen
- icon
- main menu backgrounds
- dialogs backgrounds

- in-game buttons
- icon designs for fixed functions: radio/stealing/convert spell/destroy spell and so on.
- more terrain (approx 2-3 set)
- more decorations (approx 50 more)


Audio
- music (in-game: 3, out-game:1)
- unit sounds (select, attack, move and so on - separate by nations when sample is a spoken one)


Content
- Starter nations minimum: USA, Germany, Russia, (Britain?), (Italy?)
- sum of 20 random map types
- sum of 12 campaigns (min. 6 maps)
- sum of 40 "upgrade" units/techs (their gem "price" need to be covered with campaign maps)

Documentation
- Customized help texting
- "falvour text" for all units (they only have names currently)

Ayy m8, i can create the campaigns, all of them.

Also, i learnt how to draw units, can you send me a few unit image files to practice my drawing by changing them a bit?

AoW already has 22 random maps based from my count. So 1 down.
For starting nations, how about Japan?

For "upgrade units" we might add Guerillas, they seems to be ready for launch! :)

I have few questions:

In overall we need 72 campaign maps right?
About sounds: Do the spoken words need to be precise, or they can be random words from that nation?

72: sounds good.
random: what do u mean? they sohuld sound well for the unit, and having no cursing and stuff.

Random: I didnt mean cursing, i mean for example:

If we select an german soldier and he has a sound, for example "Shclafen!" which means sleep, is that ok? Or does it need specific words like yes sir(german) or ready(german)???

why would it say sleeping? no, that is not ok that a german soldier salutes or reports saying "sleeping" :)

From my coumt we have 37 campaign maps, now we just need to double that number :geek:

Still trying out tunes for music, will send when I've got at least one finalized. Is just piano ok, or should I use a program to orchestrate it?

i have removed alexanders name from these because it seems he has less time for aow recently, so anyone can take these
- main menu backgrounds
- dialogs backgrounds
- in-game buttons

also we have poor progress in this list in last feew months

no, you can finish if u are in the roll, and if u already has some maps. i mentioned only we should start focus on other missing points

ok "stratego" I'm here! So my vision as one of the leaders is to try to round up all the ideas that are good but just need an image or JASON and try to get them implemented as fast as possible, I would also like to see if we can change the player interface so it would look a little bit different than aos just to give it a personal feel and not a clone of it's father game, and lastly bring aoww to google play!

Actually i think these units are anough to launch ,we can ut in a few more but absolutely not a "must"
read the list above there is not even listed any new units as requirement.

For first i suggest:

checking tru all units and all sounds:
- select
- movement
- attack/action
- damage

to see if we have proper sounds - i made many sounds a few weeks ago - so i hope we have only a few left - but idk which is missing

I can work on sounds with some stuff I have at my disposal with the gun sound in mind, as for graffics I will look and see if there is a program that is available too change the pixel form. And for game play I really am for all ideas that differ from aos like national traits.

Well I am somewhat ready with the tones and music remains still,but I am still struggling to make a nice tone using violin,but I consider this as my test,because I am trying to know,how much do I know about violin(mostly because I've seen Stratego,liking the violin).

For starters I think we need more "yes sir" unit sounds and a better attack effect.
