Save 2014 Christmas map - IMPLEMENTED

I thought it would be fun to have a FAN map of saving Santa Claus.

my idea:
- we need a Santa icon (1x1 tile overlapping to top with a big bag on his back)
- we need christmas tree shaped map:
- tree green part if forest
- the trunk is from roads
- the tree decoration id from hills, desert colored hills, flowers and anything else
- the map starts with the santa on the bottom of the tree and a few escort units
- using triggers we can launch enemy units against the gathering
- player must protect santa otherwise he is lost.
- at the top of the tree there is a towncenter or a few that must be approached by santa (moving near them) to win
- the top TCs can be enemy TC-s by default and disabled by triggers not to produce units.
- the road to the top can be labyrinth like path using the decorational hills as long shining decoration "boa"s around the tree

this was my idea for this Christmas
what do you think of it?
anyone want to participate in making it?

I had also been thinking about some Christmas maps, i just didn't had time to post it though:
special units: Also santa claus and reindeers
and maybe a building: Christmas tree, that can shoot Christmas balls to enemies

i was more thinking about a small campaign with a storyline, but a map with the shape of a Christmas tree also sounds nice :)

ok, but i do not plan to put there many new units because of this, only one (2 tops).

i have made a santa map (fan section), we only need triggering onto it.

do you like it?

can anyone do the triggering onto it?
something like these:
- on start disabling tomost TC-s (to avoid enemy production)
- putting enemy to the left bottom part of the tree
- if santa reaches a point on the left, removing the little concrete wall on the bottom-middle-right of the tree (to let go tru)
- as santa goes up and up the tree, give enemies against him

other:
- santa wins if all castles at top are occupied
- santa may have some helaing ability i suppose.

(currently a hoplite represents santa, i will change it soon, but the triggering can be started with the hoplite.)

Rocks...

I haven't seen the map yet, but according to Daniel, it's only possible to pass the wall when you trigger something

Tc s are disabled. :)
Santa captures the tc s and the player sees a victory message ends his turn and wins.

ok, the first version of the map is up on the server - thanks to James for starting the triggering!
I have finished (hopefully the triggering) so it is on the server in 5 minutes.

please test it and send me any suggestions.

santa can convert enemy with 80% chance, i am working on that conversion effect will be indicated with a christmas present thrown to enemy :)

there are 2 enemy assassins, but they can't move, all units can walk through them :)

and the map is awesome! there are lots of strategies you can use to win
i only don't understand what i'm supposed to do at the last 2 TC?

Assassins: yes, it happened to me when I walked on one. I couldn't select him though, it was like he wasn't there. Also the enemy destroyed the towers that could see the assassins, but I came later and I could still see them.

almost the bottom right hand of the tree by the stone. Santa gives you a hint when halfway up the tree. you can also get lancers.

this is intentional, you can accidentally step on them (since you dont see assassins, only if you have watch towers or scouts around (or on adjacent tile to assassin)) so they will die.

this was intentional - however when they are revealed - maybe they could be a non-steppable conventional unit...
di u suggest changing that? (btw: this question is a separate problem, off-topic here)

@daniel, the problem is, that you actually can "see" them even if you have no scout or watchtowers. When the enemy is moving units, you will also be able to see the assassins for a second, and with that little knowledge you can predict were they are and step on them.

and i think it's good that you can step on them, but the assassin should be removed after stepping on him. It just looks strange if you can walk through someones body :)

i am not sure you have the latest version because i have fixed visual problems and i did not see anything from the AI assassin the first i saw it when it has stepped beside my knight and killed it :)

you are right, it is not disappearing - however the assassing destroyed the image stays there - fixing it.

ok, the fix is on the server in 3 minutes: if you step on a spy (that you see somehow) than it will vanish instantly.
