Map Maker Intro Text?

Post by DoomCarrot »

Hey, so I am in the process of a campaign (It will be good :) ) and the intro text is VERY MUCH annoying me.

You see, you cannot indent paragraphs as far as I know. This means that instead of having a clear conversation in the intro text, it comes out as a giant text wall that is very difficult to read. This is a major issue for my campaign as it largely relies on clear, interesting, almost book-like storytelling in the intros. I have also noticed this has affected how I play campaigns, as I rarely read the intro texts, since they are sometimes aggravatingly hard to read. For instance, this is a piece of intro text from one of my campaign maps.

----Now, the merchant laid back in his luxury wagon, and smiled. The road was easy, the weather was good, the escort was good company, and he had already made close friends with most of his companions. On top of all this, the kingdom was more united than ever before, he reckoned.
His thoughts were disturbed by a voice. "Sir?" Said one of his escorts as he lifted the flap to the wagon, map in hand.
----"Yes? Are we close to Palagor's borders?"
----"Yes, sir. We are coming to a split in the road though." He climbed into the wagon and unfurled the map on the carpeted floor. "We are here," the mercenary said as he pointed to a road on the map. "The road will branch.... Right here. One of the roads runs along the coast to Palagor, while the other cuts through a small canyon and takes a more direct approach through the woods."
----"Which is faster? The road through the woods?"
----"Yes."
----"Good, then let us take that road. Besides, I've never liked the sea."

This translates to...

Now, the merchant laid back in his luxury wagon, and smiled. "Yes? Are we close to Palagor's borders?" "Yes, sir. We are coming to a split in the road though." He climbed into the wagon and unfurled the map on the carpeted floor. "We are here," the mercenary said as he pointed to a road on the map. "The road will branch.... Right here. "Yes." "Good, then let us take that road. Besides, I've never liked the sea."

You can see how annoying this is. Am I missing on how to indent in the intro text, or is this actually something that (should) probably be fixed? :?

You are typing in a simple text for the intro text. If you want formatting, you need to make it an HTML document.
Thanks!
