Dwarves
Re: dwarves
Im my opinion it is good, that is dark.
Dwarves like to hide in the mountains, or create large halls.
but their buildings are always dark

Re: dwarves
It's based on the Dwaener idea from Skyrim, I'd really like it, but I can make it more built out of metal and wood

Daniel (the dev) wrote:cool symbol! however previously i imagined axes for them.
In most classic fantasy (I'm EXTREMELY familiar with this genre), dwarves mainly use battle-axes, warhammers and short maces in combat...some specialized troops use short pikes, as well, but it's unusual to see that...the majority of their combat practices involved defensive tactics--they aren't known for leaving their underground strongholds very often, unless someone REALLY pissed them off....
(I realise I'm a bit off-topic with this, but there isn't really another thread up in which to put this point...)

Re: dwarves
They might have different kind of mounted units
Dwarven riders on war pony (it's not an unusual mount for dwarves) that might be some sort of light cavalry
Dwarven Boar riders, some more like an heavy riders, with strong charges damage
Dwarven Bear riders(maybe on polar bears) that would be something like the war elephant
As for other ideas they could have something like a steam cart, riflemen and crossbowmen

Re: dwarves
They don't leave often but they are generally trained in fighting menaces from the underground, like goblin, orcs and dragons, anyway the backgrounds may vary based on the story you are readingmax-damage wrote:Daniel (the dev) wrote:cool symbol! however previously i imagined axes for them.

Re: dwarves
i've made two versions with a new boar, i prefer to see armored dwarfs (they are master smiths and rely mainly on they'r tactics and great equipment), so i made the 2nd one a bit more "covered"

Re: dwarves
Cool! This could be like their strongest unit! I like 2 best.
Re: dwarves
I think dwarves shouldn't have archers... to make bows there size they wouldnt shoot far enough... Javaliners? Slingers?dust-n-steel wrote:And a shooting stand.

Altough in many settings they can use bows i think that crossbows and guns fit them more

Re: dwarves
I sized it on another unit, maybe is an effect given by the armor and the horns, and maybe, by the axe position, his shape is wider than humans', i might try to shorten a bit more his legs tough
