I think there are many powerful ranged unit already, so maybe upgrade for fire archer?

In that case we will also need upgrade for catapult ship

Anyway i think this is great idea, picture is great too.

It is a nice image but holy cow are crossbowmen already powerful lol. I think this would be ok, but not the plus 1 range. And it should be an expensive tech as well I think.

These guys would he like men-at-arms on steroids lol.

I kinda want to expand the borders of this game with these many upgrades

Crossbows had lesser range than bows but much higher damage rating and due to this lesser range crossbowmen were usually armoured.
So the stats can be :
Hp-15
Attack-10
Range-4 or 5
Armour-1 & Pierce armour-2
Speed-3

If it is an upgrade, there shouldn't be a penalty to the previous stats

Suggestion: Range 5-7

bad idea, crossbows are already v. strong

Since the upgrade means more "advanced" technology, the look of the crossbowman should change too, here i leave my idea. Hope you like it!!!!!

Range 7 is too long. I think the xbow is powerful already so I will close this topic

Gral.sturnn did u mean to change current look of crossbow archer with this? U should make a new topic, this place is for upgrading crossbow archer
