kamikaze! (japan) IMPLEMENTED
Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Alright, so essentially it's a special ability that, once researched by Japan, will allow players to crash their planes into enemy targets on order to deal massive damage. I reckon I figure out the JSON, and I'll implement a plane using the image below.
Also, is that plane based on a Mistubishi A6M2 Sen Baku? I ask so I can look up its characteristics.
It certainly looks like a Mitsubishi.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Well, then, what plane did you use for inspiration?
Also, I don't imagine I'll be able to JSON this entirely for a little while, but I'll get the plane itself implemented in the next few days, with the special ability followed later.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Just add it as a normal plane but with that hell of pain sacrifice json... It will perfectly simulate the kamikazi attack.
Also when i was making the M6A-Seiran for the I-400, it actually helped me making the M6A-K... So here it is.

The image is good but the Json is going to take some work. I will look into it.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Cool, so you guys have figured out stats for the M6A-K already? Since M6A-K and M6A-Seiran are basically variants of the same plane... I would like that it get the same stats of the "K" version but with other details as vanishing (3) and basic bombing instead of suicide atk (i want to avoid a possible kamikazi spam of the i400)... So can someone post updated stats of the "K" for me?

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Stratego we need a new assassin mechanic for Aoww. Untill that is added I can't make the json.

And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
ok, but why dont we use the existing mechanics?
there is a spell in AOF undead caster that costs the caster life - i suggest using that - an ability button as "kamikaze" that will attact to 1 range and on attack the plane is sacrificed.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Ok, i just made it in the way it was commonly seen on most of its pictures, some sort of "bamboo-green", so i had that guess that it wasn't a problem... Btw, can you send me the correct hex color base that you want for them?Stratego (dev) wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 1:20 pm here the coloring yhould change from green to deserty colored
It is not need, we already have it, just make a copy of that (i believe it is called "hell of pain sacrifice", no? Bla-bla-bla-sacrifice) effect from AOF and rename it to Kamikazi for AOW, then give it as hability to the plane, it will sacrifice the unit and deal some damage on the target. In other words, kamikazi hability...

Most accurate coloration is on this ha-go tank.

Right, attempted to replicate that color on it, ended as something like this.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
i mean the right wing seems almost double in length than the left one
Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Ah right, well that's normal, bcz the wings are located bellow the plane, so in this perspective, part of left wing is hidden behind the fuselage. Same for the left tail wing hidden behind the vertical one. You can't see, but you assume that it is there...

Okay I will look into the AOF jsons. And get back pronto when it works... or doesn't.

Have not tested it yet but I think it will work.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
According to this method it shouldn't need a extra ability. However I will do the other method instead.

Re: kamikaze! (japan)
Hmm, idk what is the stats you did put there but it must have the extra hability if the idea is to simulate the kamikazi, remember that it should work normally as any other ordinary plane but with the possibility to suicide and not as one flying assassin...

Yeah but I feel like it will be like artillery; always missing when you need it to hit, and always hitting when you are doing something stupid with it, like attacking other planes
