More Japanese Infantry. IMPLEMENTED

Being brief, i noticed that, when i was doing my campaign, it seens a bit out of place that Germans are so strong in the pacific, even being a fictional campaign, the Japan should actually get a major place in there... I've been using Germans for everything but i think that it would be much better if i could replace the current Germans forces with some more of the Japanese ones... But for that i will need plenty new units for replacement in every field... But for that i think we could do later as we got other priorities atm... Btw at least infantry is something that i know we can sort out for the map editor...

Going foward, i made a small research for what i know it is missing and what could be interesting to have:
  • - Nested machinegunner (using Type 97 LMG)
    - SMG infantry (using Type 100 SMG, Type 93 Hand grenade and Type 3 AT grenade)
    - Inf Mortar (using Type 97 - 81mm Mortar)
    - AT Mortar (using Type 94 - 150mm Mortar)
    - Flamethrower infantry (using Type 93 Flamethrower)
    - Rocket launcher infantry (using Type 4 - 70mm AT Rocket launcher)
    - Japanese Sniper (using Type 97 sniper rifle)
  • - Alternative "Random weapon" infantry (with type 89 "knee-mortar" 50mm grenade discharger, as hability - Indirect fire support, 3 cost)
    - Alternative "Random weapon" infantry (with Lunge Mine Spear as hability - AT Suicide infantry, 3 cost)
I would apreciate some help here with imgs or some other suggestion aswell if someone is inspired by this...

actually we can start gathering units for other nations (japan, british for first imho) to make the new nations.
so you can make indivisual ktopics with images and jsons :) so i can put them in ! thanks!

It seems our work for the beginning 3 nations will pay off now that we have enough units to work on different nations.

That's more than enough, excellent work! :)

Just one critic, can we stop giving mg boxes? I prefer to see them prone/ crouched because I can see them getting down for precision shots, but sliding around boxes looks too awkward for me.

Sure, I actually wanted to try something else, large guns nested somewhere, behind some cover, i was thinking to try behind walls, sandbags, barrels, logs or else, but was kinda lazy to work on something else and just used the boxes that we already have :lol: ...

Just wondering @Stratego (dev), but what is the japanese special stat trait compared to the infantries of the other nations? I know that Soviets have +10 health and Germans +1/2 damage... But i have no idea what to put there for these... Did you guys figured out something already for them?

Due to their brutal combat...
More damage, less HP.

They were also ment to be more mobile with bicycles or such.

Right, +2/3 dmg, -10 hp?

Idk. Every nation owned bikes... So a biker infantry is not a good special trait imo... What about that bayonet charge?

Great, @Stratego (dev) but what about their medic? Are you waiting for the medic tent?

Also can you put here the Jsons of the sacrifice effects of aof? I want to see which will work better to simulate kamikazi attacks with aircrafts and infantries on some japanese units... Also i think we might rename them for AOW... Name ideas for the alternatives beside just Kamikazi 2 and 3?

I think it is just these 3:
- Sacrifice killer.
- Pain an hit.
- Hell of pain sacrifice.

The lunge infantry can work as petard, but i think suicide should be one optional ability... Since they should work as any other infantry.

1- It should work as rifleman (maybe same stats), but with a mortar ability (instant attack with 2 range, with 1 turn cooldown... The damage should be lower than the standard mortars, around 24 & 30).

Also these will not have the ability to build. But they still can mend at lesser rate. Cost can be 2 or 3, you choose.

2- Unfortunatelly i can't help here atm. But will put it on the to-dos of the next week...

I feel lunge mine should be at grenade ability to a unit. TYpe 89 mortar as infantry grenade ability with range of 2 (probably for smg)
