The shadow in the british ones is too dark

Yes a few things:
-as Daniel said, they could use some shading and polishing on the image to make it look less flat and cartoony
-all the poses look a little too similar
-There is actually already an American MG image

Your new pose looks pretty good. On the soldat, the shadow is a bit irregular, and you might want to look at both their waists: the seem a bit elongated. That may be because the leading leg is a little thin, but I am not sure. But looking nice so far.
