I was wondering, does the AI abide by fog of war, or can it see everything?

Sometimes it seems like it can sniff out my sneak attacks, but maybe it just gets lucky... like, every time.

You would be a too powerfull eney for the Ai, so we have to give him some cheat.

ah, but if you notice, the AI has a range limit, so when you get a map where they have 50 knights and you send a single horse archer around them, only bits and pieces move. If you can take that into account, you can outmaneuver them hehehe, we are too op yep

My great mind is too much for Daniel's puny AI.

So the answer to the initial question in this thread is "yes, the AI cheats like hell!!!" .

Unless it got recently changed, AI can also use upgrades even when the match is a no-upgrades game. It only cares about its easy/hard setting and it defaults to "hard" (= use upgrades) when it replaces a player in MP game.

well now it changed since this post.

Once an ai used a transport ship to cross to another island to capture an empty tc with an Archer, and that island was TWO TILES AWAY NOT ONE, finally they r evolving

I personally think the AI cheat, so never have maps with fog so I can see them. lol

The ai always has and probably always will cheat. I just think it needs a higher setting with more cheating added (like extra production or something)

I can't believe what i'm hearing! The AI cheats, why is this okay!? If a player cheats it called hacking! We need to fix that.

do u still get trouble beating ai? even with hundreds of units they r still so easy to defeat

The only problem to mad rush ai for me is that they regardless of settings have all upgrades from TC.
All other Current so-called "cheats" don't matter.

yes wen they have all upgrades and i have none it finally becomes interesting wen they use battering rams and elephants, but the interest only lasts till i have a wagon full of three catapults...

Unless they have a huge amount of heavy catapults somewhere in one very hard to get place.

The day they'll learn to use wagons as well as they'll learn to build siege and wagons with workers they'll become a real threat.

It is usually good to see AI improving, it makes the game better.

actually not improving, it as just luck, they can accidentally step into ground-transport without intention. only water transtports are programmed to use intentionally

With luck, they will soon enough destroy your castles with workers.

XD lol, beware they r already using armies of invincible workers to wreak havoc

i suggest (if its possible) once guard towers and factories have been built by the worker, it will start building sieges in the closest available tile, if tile is forest then they build siege mantlets, if tile is plain then first priority is battering rams, once they have 1 or 2 surviving rams they start building catapults, and they continue until they have 1 or no rams remaining, at which case they shall again start building rams, even a siege mantlet is a better choice than ai sending workers to their doom after job is done
