Currently the lich is a high cost, unarmored, low hp walking target. If it could temporarily gain invisibility, I think that would greatly increase survival rates.

I agree, put in place of useless spells like: Pain and Hit, Hell of Pain by Sacrifice!

Hell of pain by sacrifice is by far the MOST POWERFUL offencive single target spell.
Because it deals to enemy same amount of damage as sacrificed unit had. If you will sacrifice flesh golem at full hp it will deal 50 damage.

Just put unit in melee range to lich for usage. One unit only.

Also orcs right now are even more powerful because they got this spell as well. And they have unit with 140 hp...

Yep. They got orc warlock with lots of offencive spells (magic missle, fireball, hell of pain, thunderstorm).
As for that unit with 140 hp - olog hai of max level.

Pain and hit yes. It deals not so much.
Hell of pain is powerful if used with decent sacrifice.
But if you will use unit with 3 hp unit than you will deal 3 damage to enemy with spell.

Pain and hit yes. It just deals i think 6 hp for 6 hp of caster.
For 5 turn unit with 9 hp it is too much.

It only deals 1 damage to caster, trust me I've used it a few.

I know, just liches should be among the most powerful spellcasters, but they have absolutely no durability for their role, they need something to keep them alive.

They are like glass cannons, really fragile glass cannons. :lol:
