Kobold Warden

warden is a kobold blood who has been entrusted
with the oversight (sharp eyes) of something
important to
the community, such as a base, tower,allies,
gate, war or fighting.

Warden is the Defender of The Race, it defense the important allies, units, and also structures.


Stats: (Basic Unit)
Cost:4
Hp:30
Attack:5
Armor:3 (Shield & Really Defensive)
Pierce Armor:2
Speed:3
Water Speed:0
Sight:4
Action Turn:2
Buildable At: Swamp Barracks, TCs

Has Bonuses againts Mounted Units 450%,
Ranged Units 200%

Description: A mighty kobold warrior with great
fighting capabilities against cavalry, and a great
defensive strenght.

Yes, kobolds are 32x32 and lizardmen are 64x32.

Btw, raise attack just a little bit so it equals a bit more with knight (that also has cost 4). But actually, this unit overlaps too much with lizard blademan. The stats and battle role are essentially the same. So this makes the two units be the same :mrgreen:

if the unit s an anti mounted attack shouldn't be too high, i'l check them tomorrow

this is half spearman & shielder, this is kobold blood, i will change his skin later. this kobold is weaker but useful & talented = 4 turns. :)

Well if its an anti mounted i agree with stats. Just needs an anti-cavalry bonus:
(Bonus against cavalry: 700% bonus against cavalry. (40 damage))

I think that 500% (30 damage) should be good. Also we should raise armor a bit to compensate.

I think damage should be AT LEAST 35, since this unit is a lizardman, attack against cavalry in this case has to be high. If it were a kobold, yes, i would prefer 25-30 damage, but for a lizardman, it is at least 35.

with 35/40 dmages you oneshot every basic cavalry and you also have a resistant unit

yes, having changed the concept this one should be a kobold

also guys i think we are making many units that overlaps with other units of the same race

Let's start wit 3 units for both kobolds and lizard (archer/swordman/spearman) and add some elite snakeman and some unique units but avoid making 10 units that cover the same roles (e.g. anti_cavalry), at least now.

There is a kobold slinger (ranged) and it seems that all kobolds, luzard and sarpent have anti_cavalry.

I think that is inevitable tha one will outshine the others, so i think we should carefully think which one we want in game and how to make all viable choices

Imo:
Kobolds should be basic. They should have upgrades.
Lizardmen should be gem units, but most of them, not ALL of them. Some can also have upgrades. Instead of having the swim ability right from the start, there should be a swimming upgrade for them.
Snakemen should all be gem units and have no upgrades.

Both are nice, but isn't that in contrast with the idea we talked in the lizard swordman topic? Instead of single unit upgrades we might just make racial upgrades

btw, i think you should lower cost to 3, 4 is too much for an anti cavalry unit that deals only about 25 damage to cavalry. Also hp is a bit too high for anti cavalry

the question is: "is this one the only kobold anti cavalry?"

if we want a basic 2 turn spearman i agree with a 4 turn unit that is also more resistant. If we want to have a single anti cavalry we mght lower something and going for a turn cost of 2, like human and orc spearman
