Its not basic ranged,there is crossbowmen! Anyway,as more elite,it can be.

No. I dont think gunpowder shouldbe that basic think for drafnes. Warrior dont make seanse if you got guns. I not sure you know,but shoot from even weaker musket go throught technicaly EVERY armor.

Thats true. Maybe make it a cost-4 unit rather than a basic cost-2?

Hmmmmm,
An abus gun is the one 'gun' that we've given them.
I don't think that gunpowder can be common, seeing as it would probably be too powerful. And gun designs naturally have to be inaccurate and quite flawed
Maybe we can make the rifles enchanted or something so it's not like a common weapon but rather a powerful one whose usefulness is accredited to the runic enchantment

Lol, They are using non gunpowder Cannon balls, Small non gunpowder bullets and computing velocity and friction to works. Maybe They can use guns without gun powder or using a secret ingeredient.

If we go that route, I say we call them pathfinders.
Give them good speed and good sight, coupled with powerful offensive capabilities.

Well... I dont like this idea. All dwarfs are slow,and I dont think it can be faster. Yeah,he can got high slight,but he wouldnt be scout. He should be middle-strong ranged unit,with 3 or 4 cost.

It's the heavy armour for the most part. What they lack in height they make up for with determination and endurance.

We can make other unit as scout (dwarf runner). I still dont think make a riflleman a scout is good idea.

If you want a fast scout unit, don't give it too great attack. Instead of rifleman use rather something like "Hammer thrower" with speed 4.
OR
Fast rifle dwarven unit could be like a rifleman in a minecart. Or sitting on a chamois. Instead of rifle you can use a shotgun with a splash damage. Or even use some small attack cone.
You can then get something like: range 3, splash 1, damage 6, splashed damage 3, speed 4, sight 7, bonuses against infantry. Can be used for both scouting and hit and run scenarios.

Indeed i think that high atk is not the stuff for scouts.
I dont think it should be scout; maybe more advanced range attacker, somewhat similar to dwarf sniper but different abilities? Maybe the splash damage that detros suggested?, dunno.
