Re: Starting packs

well unless one of the starter packs is a wagon and 3 catapults, there is honestly no reason for anyone with half a brain to choose anything other than 4 workers.... i would rather 2 workers over 4 spartans in early game

Re: Using terrain to your advantage

Hmm... alot of ideas to take in at once... I really do like many of these concepts, however it would take alot of time and effort to implement these things into the game (i am learning android development myself). And although most of these ideas make sense, the archers in the forest do not at all. ...

Re: greek fire launcher

Let's make greek fire a technology upgrade for all ships. Cost 8 turns to develop. The fire acts like posion to sea units. The posion is only stopped when the ship is repaired by a worker, goes to town, or to port. The posion should be great. Maybe 1/6 of a units life. I approve. I have personally ...

Re: Unit - heavy catapult (and also an upgrade tech for it)

Ohhh, I am a complete idiot, I was thinking a new unit, not an upgrade tech. For an upgrade tech heavy catapult would make sense, since it is just an upgraded version. I like the idea :)

Still think monganel would make a cool new unit though :D

Re: What are the best units for you?

1. LOTS of workers. The only way to counter this strategy is workers of your own or rush. 2. Pikemen/halberdeirs. They prevent a cavalry rush in the above strategy, and they are dirt cheap. 3. A wagon with 3 catapults. This alone can defeat an entire army. Not much strategy to this one. 4. Horse arc...

Re: Unit - heavy catapult (and also an upgrade tech for it)

hmm, sounds cool. Those stats seem pretty balanced for an upgrade.

although HEAVY catapult is kinda a cheesy name I feel like, especially if it is going to have 2 move. Maybe a mangonel? It's basically just a large, very powerful version of a catapult.

Re: Donate troops

I see what your saying... but I see one issue What if I use a troop, than give him to my ally. My ally uses him then gives him back to me... Kinda cheap, because now that unit got an extra turn. So the only way to do this is have an option where it takes up the units ENTIRE TURN to donate. If you mo...

This is exactly why I never use waypoints. The AI can be kinda stupid moving any armies larger than 2 units.

Troop tree/stats

Hey, I have often found it VERY frustrating when I cant find the stats of a unit without building it. A troop stats page for every unit would be nice. Also, the upgrade tree shouldnt be blacked out until you unlock the upgrade before it I don't think. If the upgrade tree made sense - archer stuff in...

I could see an evasive ability getting VERY annoying after a while. just throw a few of these guys on the front lines, with some archers to back them up, and as the opponent keeps trying to kill these little evasive guys you just peck at their front lines with archers. Although I don't see ho...

Well if they somehow landed how would they take off again? you cannot simply jump back into the sky :?

I think they are good just how they are--suicidal air strike units for striking important strategic targets or units that would pose a serious threat to your main force.

Re: Best defense against battering rams?

I have never really had an issue with battering rams. Depending on what units are giving them support I would say either spartans, templars, or simple swordsmen. Or a combination of all three is always fun :)
