I found an idea. How about making dwarven fighter can transform into longbeard/old fighter after 12 turns. So you will keep your fighters alive.

War Wagon

A strong ground transport with high pierce armor. This unit can transport 2 units and the units inside can attack. It doesn't give healing effect. It costs 6 turns and buildable by workers. So it's similiar to mantlet but with better mobility and more capacity.

Well Swiss pikeman will give +1power, +1speed, and +1range to religious units and can be trained from barracks and churches similiar to your idea :D .

How about if Swiss pikeman can extend their spear. It will make them cannot move but it allow them to melle attack with 2 range.

Swiss Pikeman

Special pikeman that can be train from barrack with the ability to attack enemy unit without getting counter attack from the enemy unit. It should be cost 3 turns, have more strength than a halberdier :D and have bonuses against mounted.

My idea is to add neutral buildings that is enterable with infantries. But the difference is that neutral buildings don't indicate if there is somebody in it or not. I have a different idea for wraith. Wraith have fear ability, visible and decent power. But wraith have a special ability to spread corruption to the enemy units it attack. Corruption acts the same as poison but deal more damage and can ony be healed with spells (like disenchant or heal).
