Ah, sorry. Korea gets turtles then. :lol: I still think if we are gonna do nations, we might as well do all of them. I don't see why we must stick to 6 nations. For instance, lets say we have as the 6 nations: Rome, Japan, Hungary, Celts, Korea, and Germany. What happens to Mongolian Horse Archers?...

Yeah agree, that is a very useful guide. thx Coolguy! I didnt realise they were that powerful (2 shot kill). My memory is shooting at other ships for turns, making little impact. But my memory sucks lol

Although i still think id rather have 2 trireme or catapult ships, I may give them another go ;)

General bonuses is a very good idea ;) How many countries are we looking at a minimum? How many country specific troops we have implemented in game atm? Just so we can maybe start moving forward, like a "think-tank" ;) I'll also post this in the relevant thread, as dont really want to hijack this one.

That's my thinking, Disco. I'm all for more national units for a nation gamemode. Although right now I don't think it has any support really, I think it will become a cooler and cooler idea with more national units. :) Im def interested in the idea mate. We just need the units..lots of them. Not ne...

Im not sure, as ive not really used them. When i did, they felt less effective than some of the other units. TBH even a gain of range, isnt really gonna make me want to build them...though no doubt someone will school me in the future with them, an i'll change my mind :lol:

Ive not made one yet..

But what I did notice, in the editor, is that the labourer actually has a better attack than a worker. I thought it was strange, but thats what i found lol.
If thats is the case, then brawn over brains comes to mind :D

My two pennies:

If the national game mode is coming, then were gonna need some nation specific troops. Like every nation gets fire-archer. Chinese can upgrade to Cho-ko-nu.
In other game modes, it doesnt matter ;)

If not upgrade for a unit, but new one, it could be a bit slower than normal horse archer. Well, all of you would be slower on horses when you have bottles with a deadly poison in a bag XD :D I agree, in it being a little slower. or It could have reduced accuracy, maybe have a 10-15% chance of shoo...
