Ah now I see. OK, I didn't realise burn effect also had boni, I will play around with my little arsonists more often now :)

Sorry Endru, I misunderstand. Are the numbers you are quoting all for a combination of three FA attacks? And does bonus attack affect burn damage aswell as the initial strike? Good stuff Squirrel :) I think it's definitely needed, the overlap in roles between zweihander and mace man leaves mace man behind a bit once heavy zweihander are in town.

Now, I'm just gonna sit here and hope for the biggest and bog offiest we can get :)

No, I'm thinking of exactly the same role, just better. Like when the archer is upgraded, he gets a more powerful weapon - the crossbow. Same with voulgier and svardstaff, it's pretty much exactly the same thing, but because it's an upgrade, it's a bigger and bog off-ier weapon.

Just a thought, take it or leave it, my good man, but if he's going to be an upgrade, could we give him a big bog off warhammer instead of a mace? I know the initial post was about upgrading the armour/durability, but what can I say.... I kinda want a big bog off warhammer too :)

In games where I've researched them both, galley line seems to get only plus one, and siege ships are unaffected. I take the other view - I would rather see the remaining units controlled by AI in the interests of fairness. Imagine a fairly equal four way fight going on, and blue decides to resign. No, I've witnessed this in games of several players. After the player resigns, the units stay where they are and cease to be active, they don't build, move, or attack...basically, whoever is nearest can take over without having to fight. Ive tested this by leaving units on adjacent tiles to enemies ...

Not quite sure if this belongs here or elsewhere... Problem is, after upgrades at blacksmith, both longbow men and master slingers have a range that is greater than their sight. A good general will sometimes find use for missile units to probe enemy lines, or as a vanguard, but this general sometime...
