Its not like that. It would combine 2 units and not have one take damage while the other can safely attackgodOfKings wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 12:00 pm Currently group mechanism only works in towns (put battering ram at first and h.cats/cannons behind and they can fight without worries

The name "desert fox hunter made me laugh"
"Desert fox" was the nickname of ervin rommel; a brilliant and famous general who was also in charge of the defences in normandy.

The idea was to be able to build on rocks but it rakes longer and gives the buildings better stats/defensive capabilitys

Nope u r underestimating the force of an arrow, while not fatal, it can still pierce through armor, and besides hatamoto is quite useful with 4 speed and high damage, I don't even know y u seek new upgrade of samurai I think you underestimate the strength of hardened steel. I have proposed a simular idea in aos called group formations
(i'd link it but i dont know how)
Basicly you merge 2 units into 1 ad this 1 has stats from first unit + 50% stats from second

Re: Germany
Slow units dont go well with blitzkrieg German subs were feared Many tanks were panzer1 and 2 (early war) and panzer3 and 4 (late war) and they were sligtly outclassed by russan t34s The panzerkampfwagen 5-6 (tiger and panther i think) were really rare Many vehicles were hard to maintain The plains ...

Idunno
For the tech maybe sword and spear crossed in front of a big sheild
The formation could be an effect icon above the carryer that shows the ither unit in formation.
Be creative, draw what you want.

Women were not warriors. Besides it wasn't the role of the woman to fight.
The only female warriors i can think of are d'arc and some female norse(wo)men but they were few.

Pretoreans may not have have been trained from birth like spartens but still were elite units and actually had better armour due to their big shields (- bigger than a hoplon) and better body armour (- lorica segmentata - high quality stuff); the pilum could be used as a spear (rarely) and a gladius ...

Re: Animal companion
I ahve been thinking about something simular.
A roman war dog trainer that functions like the ent trainer in aof but it would be a unit and only war dogs could enter its carrying slots.
But i like your idea just as well.
Is there a cooldown?

I can however imagine an order that shared an opinion on what it is.

Re: Group formations
Carrying is only ingame how i think it could be coded. I must admit i cant put my thougts into words. The idea is to combine 2 units/unit types but simply stacking the stats would be op so the second unit only adds half of its stats. The movement is oriented on the slower unit, else the pikes would ...

Gives pikemen, swordsmen, shielder a carrying spot where only one of the above units can enter. The carryer unt gains half of the stats of the garrisoned unit including boni (the movement speed is the speed of the slower unit). If you look at the armor you see that it is also effective against arrows.
The main problem in my opinion is that if the samurai had better armorit should cost 4 at least.
