So change it from building a specific unit to a temporary building, like a siege camp from stronghold. I made the with only the ottomans to receive reinforcements, the defenders would need to hold with what they have against the Muslims and if they lose a Alamo( the triangle towers are destroyed) the ottomans gain 3 barracks in the respective direction.

I agree with the stats statement and the flamethrowers we don't have information about how they work, the technology was lost so we will never know how it look, but we are talking about a universe with fireballs and undead, just say that it's a magic that contain the gas inside a tank and is ignite ...

I like it, I would say to remove the no humans and put more specialized buniys, like in place of worker a unit called engine that has a look of a renassanse architect and some civilians with a more noble look.

The flamethrower is a must have for a Byzantine vibe and I still don't understand the gold thing, what use you will have for it? It can jump a turn in the creation of a unit if it enter a structure?

Achievable, but I think it would need to change the entire game to put mechanics for it, like very big maps, economy, diplomacy and even rpg characteristics.

Shildwall, units with shilds give 1+ armor, but -1 in movement In a one tile range to every direction, can only affect the same unit.

Make the double Gates for a single one, put some more houses inside the city and some knights, make the outer Alamos more triangle and remove those huts outside and put a road with some houses with yellow roof and place cabbage farms 3x3 to simulate the farms.

About the factions it would be easy to make a troop composition of both sides if the Turkish units was added, we can use the Arabic ones in place until they are add.
